Cloverleaf HRIS Integration

With Cloverleaf’s HRIS integration, it is easier to manage your team members and ensure you get the most out of Cloverleaf. Our HRIS integration automatically syncs team member information, keeping everything up-to-date as employees join, leave, or move within your organization. We also leverage reporting structures to deliver hyper-relevant coaching recommendations tailored to your teams.

The Cloverleaf HRIS integration supports three main use cases:

  1. Provisioning/Deprovisioning: Automatically create or remove team members when they join or leave your organization.

  2. Reporting Structure: Understand your organizational reporting structure (e.g., who manages whom), enabling Cloverleaf to offer more relevant coaching recommendations for both managers and their teams.

  3. Organizational Updates: Instantly reflect changes such as promotions, team transfers, re-orgs, or role changes (e.g., transitioning from IC to manager) within the platform.

We only pull data necessary for the three key use cases above:

  • Provisioning/Deprovisioning

  • Reporting Structure

  • Organizational Updates.

Sensitive information (e.g., gender, age, ethnicity, compensation) is never collected. For details on specific data fields, refer here.

Data is updated daily, so any changes in the HRIS system will appear in Cloverleaf within 24 hours. Cloverleaf only reads data from the HRIS system. We never push changes back to the HRIS. By default, we pull the data necessary for the key use cases (Provisioning/Deprovisioning, Reporting Structure, and Organizational Updates). However, if you need a customized integration, reach out to our support team to discuss additional configuration options.

Cloverleaf integrates with over 70 HRIS tools including Workday, Oracle, and UKG, via Merge; a partner specializing in HRIS integrations. You can find the full list of supported tools here. Don’t see your HRIS on the list? Let us know and we’ll submit a request to get it supported!

Merge is a Unified API provider that simplifies integrations with multiple HRIS tools. We chose Merge for:

  • Reliability at Scale: Proven experience handling large-scale data integrations.

  • Security and Compliance: Certifications including SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR. More details are available in their security center.

  • High-Level Support: Dedicated technical resources ensure smooth integrations and timely responses to customer questions.

The integration process typically does not require downtime, as it operates in the background. The initial integration update may take on the order of hours, but every subsequent update should happen very quickly on a daily basis. Any updates to data will sync within 24 hours without impacting your HRIS tool’s performance or availability.

The process for setting up an integration varies by HRIS tool. We provide step-by-step instructions on how to enable an integration for each HRIS we support. You can expect this process to take no longer than a few hours.

Cloverleaf cannot currently support integrating with multiple HRIS systems simultaneously. Let us know if you have a use case where supporting multiple HRIS tools would be necessary!
