What you'll accomplish
An active Cloverleaf account under your organization
Your role, title, and manager connected to your coaching
A Coaching Topic that shapes the coaching you receive
A clear view of your next steps on the Get Started page
Who can do this: Anyone invited to join a Cloverleaf organization. If you're an Organization Admin setting up Cloverleaf for others, see the Getting Started Guide for Organization Admins instead.
Step 1: Create your account
Open the invite from your organization and click the join link. Your email is already connected to your invite, so you won't need to enter it.
On the Join [Your Organization] on Cloverleaf screen:
Enter your First name and Last name.
Create a Password.
Check the box agreeing to the Terms, Responsible Use, and Privacy Policy.
Click Continue.
Step 2: Set your role and manager
The What's your role at work? screen helps Cloverleaf match coaching to how you work.
Under Your role, choose the option that fits best (for example, Individual contributor).
Under What is your current title?, enter your job title. This step is optional.
Under Select your manager, start typing your manager's name or email, then select them from the list.
Click Get started.
Decision point:
If you have a manager, select them now. Cloverleaf uses this to coach you on how the two of you work together.
If you don't have a manager, check I don't have a manager.
Step 3: Choose who can see coaching about you
The Who can see coaching about you? screen sets your visibility level. Pick one and click Continue:
Public: Anyone can see coaching about you, including people outside your organization such as vendors and customers.
Organization (Recommended): Anyone in your organization on Cloverleaf can see coaching about you.
Restricted: Only the people you choose, your Cloverleaf admins, your manager, and any direct reports can see coaching about you. This limits your ability to get coaching on others.
You can change this anytime in your Visibility Settings.
Step 4: Pick your Coaching Topic
The What's on your mind right now? screen sets your Coaching Topic, the area Cloverleaf builds your coaching around. Choose one of the suggested topics:
Show up as yourself, more often
Make every 1:1 count
Have the conversation you've been avoiding
Understand the person you can't quite read
Lead your team like they deserve
Not sure just yet? (Cloverleaf starts with an assessment and builds coaching from your results.)
Selecting a topic fills in the text box below the cards. You can edit that text, or type your own topic under Or tell us something more specific you want to work on. Click Continue.
Step 5: Answer a few follow-up questions
Cloverleaf asks up to three quick questions about your topic to sharpen your coaching.
Select every answer that applies.
Add anything else in the Anything else you'd like to add... box (optional).
Click Next to move forward, Back to return, or Skip to pass on a question.
On the last question, click Continue.
Your answers stay private and are only used to personalize your coaching.
Step 6: Take an assessment and connect your calendar
A progress bar at the top shows the remaining steps: Take assessment, Connect calendar, and All set.
Take assessment: Cloverleaf suggests an assessment that fits your topic and explains why under Why this assessment. For example, Enneagram, which takes 10 to 15 minutes.
Click Start assessment to take it now.
Click I know my results if you've already taken it elsewhere.
Click Skip to come back later from the Assessments page.
Connect calendar: Connect Google Calendar or Outlook / Microsoft 365 so coaching arrives before the meetings where it helps most. Cloverleaf gets read-only access to meeting times, titles, and attendees. It never reads meeting contents, invites, or attachments. Click Connect, or click Skip to do this later.
Step 7: Finish setup
The All set screen confirms Cloverleaf is building your coaching and shows when it will arrive (for example, weekdays at 7:00 AM by email). Click Update coaching settings to change the schedule.
Click Next to see two optional actions:
Get connected: Get your coaching in Slack, Microsoft Teams, or email.
Invite teammates: Get coaching on the people you work with most.
Click Finish getting started to go to Discover.
Where do I find my next steps?
Click Get Started in the left sidebar at any time. The page tracks your setup:
Set a Coaching Topic shows Topic set once you've chosen a topic.
Take an assessment links to your suggested assessment.
Get your coaching becomes available after you take an assessment. Click Finish setup to see when and where your coaching will arrive.
Below the cards, Cloverleaf lists any remaining setup items, such as setting your manager or connecting your tools.
