What you'll accomplish:

  • Install the Cloverleaf app in Microsoft Teams and sign in to connect your account

  • Receive Coaching Moments directly in your Teams chat

  • Ask Cloverleaf a question directly in Teams using Discover

  • Control where and how often you receive coaching notifications

Who can do this: All Cloverleaf users with access to Microsoft Teams. Your organization's Teams admin may need to approve the app before you can install it.

How do I install the Cloverleaf app for Microsoft Teams?

You need a Cloverleaf account and access to Microsoft Teams.

  1. Find the app. In Microsoft Teams, go to Apps and search for "Cloverleaf."

  2. Add the app. Select Add. You must be signed in to Microsoft Teams to install it. If you see Request instead of Add, your Teams admin needs to approve the app first.

  3. Sign in to authorize. Cloverleaf sends a welcome message with a Sign In button. Selecting it opens a new tab where you sign in to Cloverleaf, then select Authorize to connect your accounts.

  4. Return to Teams. Once you authorize the connection, go back to Microsoft Teams to start receiving Coaching Moments. If you're not logged in to Cloverleaf, log in first, then select Sign In in Teams again.

How do I receive Coaching Moments in Teams?

Once connected, Cloverleaf's Daily Coaching feature sends personalized Coaching Moments about you and your teammates directly in Teams. Each Coaching Moment helps you strengthen collaboration, navigate conflict, and understand how the people you work with are wired.

For each Coaching Moment, you can:

  • Save it to reference later

  • Share it with a teammate

  • Reflect on it to track your own growth

Every saved Coaching Moment and reflection syncs back to your Cloverleaf account, so you can review your history anytime from Discover.

How do I ask Cloverleaf a question directly in Teams?

You can type a question straight into the Cloverleaf chat in Microsoft Teams and get an answer from Discover, the same experience available in Slack and in the Cloverleaf app. Instead of using a specific command, describe what you're trying to understand, for example "How does Sarah like to receive feedback?" or "Why is my team stalling on this project?" Cloverleaf answers using behavioral data on the people involved.

This works the same way in Teams as everywhere else Cloverleaf shows up, so there's nothing new to learn. Type Help in the chat any time to see the full list of what the Cloverleaf app can do in Teams.

How do I manage my Teams notification settings?

You can control where and how often you receive coaching from either Teams or Cloverleaf directly.

  • From Microsoft Teams: Type Settings in the Cloverleaf chat to open your Account Settings.

  • From Cloverleaf: Go to Coaching Focus, then select the Settings tab.

From either location, you can adjust:

  • How often you receive Coaching Moments

  • Your communication preferences for other Cloverleaf account updates and alerts

Type Help in the Teams chat any time to see all available commands, including how to sign in or sign out of Cloverleaf.

You'll know it worked when...

  • The Cloverleaf app appears in your Teams sidebar and opens without prompting you to sign in again.

  • You receive your first Coaching Moment in Teams within a day of connecting your account.

  • Typing a question in the Cloverleaf chat in Teams returns an answer from Discover.

  • Your Account Settings Notifications tab shows the delivery channel and frequency you selected.
