What is Cloverleaf Feedback?

Feedback helps you grow and strengthen your relationships at work. We built Cloverleaf Feedback to create a safe, private space where you can request specific, actionable feedback from teammates and provide thoughtful feedback when others ask you.

What makes our approach unique is the built-in Feedback Coach—as you write your response, you'll receive real-time coaching on how to deliver feedback that will land well with the specific recipient based on their personality data. This helps you craft feedback that's not only constructive but also tailored to how each person best receives and processes information.

All feedback is completely private—only you can see what you receive, and your feedback to others is visible only to them.

Getting Started

How do I request feedback?

  1. Click the "Create Feedback Request" button

  2. Select the people you'd like feedback from

  3. Choose from suggested questions or write your own

  4. Optionally, you can add context about what kind of feedback you're looking for (performance, leadership style, specific issues, etc.), and then refresh the suggested questions for questions more related to your context.

  5. Submit your request

Your selected teammates will be notified via their preferred communication channels (email, Slack, or MS Teams).

Where can I access the Feedback feature?

The Feedback feature is available in multiple places:

Privacy & Security

Who can see the feedback I receive?

Only you can see feedback you receive. It's completely private and not visible to managers, administrators, or other team members.

Is my feedback anonymous when I provide it to someone?

No, feedback is not anonymous. When you provide feedback, the recipient will see it came from you. However, your response is completely private between the two of you—no one else can see what you wrote.

Can managers or admins see my feedback?

No. All feedback exchanges are private between the requester and the provider only.

Providing Feedback

How do I respond to a feedback request?

When someone requests feedback from you, you'll receive a notification via your communication preferences (email, Slack, or MS Teams). You can:

  1. Click the "Give Feedback" button in the notification

  2. Or find the request in the "Pending Feedback Requests" section on your Overview page

  3. Write your response in the provided text area

  4. Submit when ready

What if I don't want to provide feedback to someone?

You can decline a feedback request by clicking the "Decline" button. The requester will be notified that you've declined, but they won't see a reason why.

How long do I have to respond to a feedback request?

Feedback requests remain open until all recipients respond or the requester closes the request. However, it's best practice to respond within a reasonable timeframe while the context is still fresh.

What makes good feedback?

At Cloverleaf we believe good feedback is:

  • Specific: Include concrete examples rather than generalities

  • Actionable: Provide suggestions for what could be improved or continued

  • Timely: Respond while the context is still relevant

  • Constructive: Focus on behaviors and outcomes, not personal characteristics

The Feedback Coach feature can help you refine your feedback as you write by providing personalized suggestions based on personality insights.

Managing Requests

Can I send a reminder to someone who hasn't responded?

Yes! On your request detail page, you'll see a "Send Reminder" button for pending responses. This will send a notification to anyone who hasn't yet provided their feedback via their preferred communication channels.

Can I close a feedback request before everyone responds?

Yes, you can close a request at any time using the "Close Request" button. You can still view any feedback that was already submitted.

How do I view my past feedback requests?

Navigate to the "My Requests" tab to see all your feedback requests, including:

  • Pending requests (waiting for responses)

  • Complete requests (all responses received)

  • Request status and dates

Understanding Your Feedback

What is the AI Summary feature?

  • Key strengths mentioned

  • Areas for development

You can generate a summary even if not everyone has completed their feedback yet.

What are Feedback Themes?
