Getting Started

Before You Start: What makes good feedback?

Before getting started, it’s helpful to understand what makes feedback effective:

  • Specific — Share real examples instead of general impressions.

  • Actionable — Offer clear suggestions for what to continue or improve.

  • Timely — Give feedback while the experience is still recent.

  • Constructive — Focus on behaviors and impact, not personality or intent.

As you write, you will notice the Feedback Coach provides real-time guidance tailored to the recipient’s personality insights, helping you communicate in a way that will land well and strengthen the relationship. Feedback isn’t just about improvement. It’s about building trust and helping each other grow.

Viewing the Feedback Page

Navigate to the Feedback tool from your left-hand navigation panel.

The Overview page displays your Feedback Received, Feedback Given, and My Requests so you can easily track activity and responses.

How do I Create a Feedback Request?

  1. Click Create Feedback Request.

  2. Select the teammates whose perspective would be most valuable.

  3. Choose suggested questions or write your own.

The more specific your request, the more meaningful and actionable the feedback you’ll receive. Be sure to add context and impact.

After you add your question(s), click the Submit Feedback Request button to send it off. Your teammates will be notified via their preferred communication channels (email, Slack, or MS Teams when available).

How long do requests stay open?

Feedback requests remain open until all recipients respond or you close the request from your My Requests page.

Sending Reminders

Feedback is best delivered in a timely manner. You can send reminders to those you've requested feedback from on the My Requests page. Click View Responses on the My Requests page to view more details and send reminders.

This will send a nudge to the recipient to let them know you are awaiting their feedback.

Closing Requests

From your My Requests page, you can also close a request if you need to. For each request, you will see a button that allows you to Close the Request as needed.

Providing Feedback

How do I respond to a feedback request?

When someone asks you for feedback, you’ll receive a notification through your preferred communication channel. You can respond by:

  • Clicking Give Feedback directly from the notification, or

  • Navigating to Pending Feedback Requests on your Overview page

From there:

  1. Write your response.

  2. Review suggestions from the Feedback Coach.

  3. Review the AI Summary to see your feedback written in a way that is easy for the receiver to understand based on their assessment results.

Taking a few extra moments to reflect before responding can make your feedback significantly more impactful.

What if I don’t want to provide feedback?

You can click Decline on the request. The requester will be notified that you declined, but no explanation is shared. If you're unsure, consider whether brief, thoughtful feedback could still support their growth.

Privacy

Feedback is designed to be a safe and confidential experience. It is not accessible to managers, administrators, HR, or any other team members.

Feedback is not anonymous. When you provide feedback, the recipient will see that it came from you, which encourages accountability and open dialogue. However, each feedback exchange remains strictly private between the requester and the provider, and no one else can access those conversations.
