Taking the DISC Assessment
Head to your Assessments page. Click Assessments in the left-hand menu and find the Behavior: DISC card. Click Take assessment. (If you’ve taken a DISC assessment before and already know your type, I know my type is right there too.)
Take a peek at the welcome screen. It tells you the assessment takes about 5 to 7 minutes and has 24 questions. When you’re ready, click Start assessment. If you already have results, you can click I know my results instead.
Read the friendly reminder. Answer honestly and personally, and try not to let your environment or current circumstances influence your answers. Go with what feels most natural for you.
Try the practice question. Four words appear: Kind, Happy, Generous, and Awful and stinky. First, click the word that most resembles you. Then pick the one that least resembles you. Tooltips guide you through both clicks.
Changed your mind? No problem. Click the word you chose as “Most” and it resets, so you can pick again.
Click Next. Once your practice answers are in, a Next button appears. This is where the real assessment begins.
Meet your first page of questions. You’ll see a progress bar at the top and a page counter in the bottom right (it starts at Page 1 of 13). Each page has two sets of four words.
Pick your “Most” word. In each set, you’ll see “I am: Most.” Click the word that sounds most like you. For example, in the first set (Persuasive, Gentle, Humble, Original), the person in the video chose Persuasive.
Then pick your “Least” word. The label switches to “I am: Least.” Click the word that sounds least like you. The video example chose Original. The two remaining words fade out, which is normal.
Adjust any time. After you’ve picked both, a Reset link appears at the top of that set. Click it to clear your choices and start that set over.
Repeat for the second set. Do the same thing again with the next four words (Even-tempered, Precise, Anxious, Jovial in the video).
Keep going. Once both sets are done, the assessment moves on to Page 2 on its own, and the progress bar fills a little more. If you need to revisit something, the Back button is always at the bottom left.
There are no right or wrong answers here. Your first instinct is usually the most accurate one.
